What drives the total
Cost depends on music played versus time for soundcheck, headphone mixes and breaks. Our live room fits up to 5 musicians on 36 m² — no external hall, but no substitute for rehearsing at home.
Mixing and sometimes Mastering follow. VAT is 21% in published rates; B2B invoicing may use 14-day payment terms. Start with track count, finishing level and whether you supply stems yourself.
Hourly versus half or full day
Short overdubs or one live song may suit €125 per hour. Once soundcheck, multiple takes and lunch appear, €440 (four hours) or €790 (eight hours) often deliver more music per euro.

Build buffer time; unused time in a booked block is usually not refunded. Plan with the team upfront.
Adding mix and master
Raw multitracks rarely ship as releases. Budget €195 per song for Mixing, or €760 for up to five tracks. Mastering is €70 per track or €265 for a short EP — one loudness profile for Spotify, Apple Music and download.
Example: three songs on a half day (€440), plus three mixes (3 × €195), plus three masters (3 × €70). Add before you split costs in the group chat.
Costs bands forget
Parking in Amsterdam-West, strings, drum heads, lunch and travel for members outside the ring belong in your internal split even if not on our invoice. Bad headphone mixes waste takes. If someone arrives late, the clock still runs on a booked block — agree meet-up times at Centraal or at the studio door on Bilderdijkstraat 165.
Extra overdubs later need time or a second short session. We keep takes 12 months; download within that window. Longer storage — ask early.
Deposit and cancellation
Confirmation requires 30% deposit on the quote. That holds the live room, engineer and headphone matrix. Free cancellation up to 7 days before session; after that, terms and conditions apply.
Rescheduling uses our carry rules: within 48 hours of start, moving dates depends on slot availability. Read terms before the group chat votes yes.
Saving time before Amsterdam
Do not «learn the song in studio». Rehearse until arrangement is fixed. Send a demo with click or rough mix so our engineer can prep input lists across 16 mic preamps.
Agree who dubs solos and what stays live. Five players at once means choices: keys on DI is compact; two full kits do not fit. Vocal warm-up tips help if your singer drives in from outside town.
