Accessibility statement

Last updated : 1 October 2026

This English version is provided for information only. The Dutch version is the authoritative text. Toegankelijkheidsverklaring

In brief

  • This statement covers oaklandledger.click, the studio site in Amsterdam.
  • As a micro-enterprise we are outside the duty in the Dutch Accessibility of Products and Services Act.
  • We still aim the site at WCAG 2.2 Level AA, without a certificate.
  • Mail a barrier to [email protected]; we reply within 1 working day.
  • The Dutch version of this statement is the authoritative one.

1. About this statement

This statement describes the accessibility of oaklandledger.click, run by Oaklandledger B.V. at Bilderdijkstraat 165, 1053 KV Amsterdam. It covers the public pages: the home page, services, guides, questions and the legal texts. It does not cover third-party software you open after a link, such as OpenStreetMap or FormSubmit's mailbox.

The text is a voluntary account. It does not promise a certificate or a full audit by an independent firm.

2. What we aim for

Oaklandledger wants people to use the site regardless of a limitation of sight, hearing, movement or attention. We build with semantic HTML, clear headings, short alternative texts on photographs and forms with associated labels. The studio itself — three rooms, live room 36 m² — is a physical workshop; this statement is about the website, not the doorstep of the building.

As far as the current build allows, you can enlarge the text, move through most pages with the keyboard, use a screen reader and read the copy in plain sentences. Motion follows your system's prefers-reduced-motion preference.

3. Legal setting

The European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882) is implemented in the Netherlands by the Wet toegankelijkheid producten en diensten (Accessibility of Products and Services Act). Since 28 June 2025 that Act covers, among other things, certain consumer services, including e-commerce. Micro-enterprises that provide services — fewer than ten people and an annual turnover or balance-sheet total of at most two million euros — are exempt from that service duty.

Oaklandledger B.V. is a private limited company (B.V.) with statutory capital €100 and a team of three. We fall under that exemption. We still publish this statement so visitors know what to expect and how to report a problem. The Dutch assessment framework for websites aligns with EN 301 549 and with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2, Level AA.

4. Conformance status

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not commissioned an external audit and we do not claim a full mark. The assessment rests on an internal review of the page templates, the forms and the legal texts, carried out around 1 October 2026.

Parts that held up in that review: one main region per page, a way to skip to that region, headings in a logical order, labels on inputs, a visible focus, contrast in the theme's base colours, two languages (Dutch authoritative, English for information), and no embedded frames. The cookie banner can be used from the keyboard and does not lock the rest of the site.

5. Known limits

Limits remain. We list only what we have seen ourselves; we do not import someone else's defect list.

  • Photographs on the site are atmospheric, some of them generated with artificial intelligence. They have a short alternative, but that text does not describe every detail of the room. That touches criterion 1.1.1 (non-text content). We will expand the alternative if someone asks.
  • The cookie banner adds extra steps before you could switch on an optional category. Those categories are empty now, but the panel can raise extra focus questions on a small screen (criteria 2.4.3 and 2.4.7). We keep the panel as simple as we can.
  • PDF quotes or stems we send by e-mail after a booking sit outside the site. Those files are not WCAG pages. Ask for an accessible variant through contact.
  • The map link to OpenStreetMap opens an external service. Their interface is outside our control.

We fold reported barriers into later versions of the site. A message helps us set the order of work.

6. Feedback and contact

If you hit a barrier, write to [email protected] or use the form. Name the page, what went wrong and which assistive technology or browser you used. We reply within 1 working day. By phone: 020 261 4890, during Tue–Fri 10–20, Sat 10–18.

If that does not resolve it and you are a consumer, you can put a question to the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, www.acm.nl. That authority also supervises the Accessibility of Products and Services Act. Because we are exempt as a micro-enterprise, a report there is not an automatic enforcement path; it remains a route for consumer questions. Privacy complaints belong with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, as the privacy policy explains.

7. How this statement was prepared

This statement was prepared on 1 October 2026 and applies from 1 October 2026. The last internal check of templates, the form and keyboard paths took place in the same period. We did not rely on an automated scanner alone: we walked the pages by hand, with extra attention to home, contact and the booking path into the services.

If we rebuild the site in a substantial way, we will update this statement. The Dutch text is legally authoritative; this English version is a translation for information. Oaklandledger B.V., director Sanne de Vries, Bilderdijkstraat 165, 1053 KV Amsterdam.
